Avolon declares an order on the Dubai Airshow for 100 new LEAP-1A engines from CFM Worldwide to energy 50 Airbus A320neo household plane in its order e-book. The superior applied sciences in LEAP-1A engines, like composite fan blades and ceramic matrix composites, ship an engine that’s 15% extra gasoline environment friendly, with 15% decrease carbon emissions than prior-generation CFM56 engines.
Avolon has been a CFM buyer since 2010 and presently manages a fleet of 99 A320neo household plane powered by LEAP-1A engines, with agency orders for an extra 163 LEAP-1A powered plane. Avolon had 149 A320neo household plane and an orderbook of 347 A320neo household plane at 30 September 2025.
